Our staff and volunteers continue to work diligently on plans for our new YMCA in Downtown Barrie.
- In May, the re-zoning of our property on the Barrie Central Collegiate Institute site was approved by Council
- In June we were approved by the City staff to have several development charges waived to support the project
- Our project has entered phase two of the site plan approval with City staff
- We continue to work with the provincial government to secure infrastructure funding to support this important community initiative
- In July, we will close on the sale of our property at 22 Grove Street
- We are working towards our goal to break ground in the late fall of 2020
