Rezoning Application of Central Lands Approved by Barrie City Council

On April 28th, Barrie City Council approved HIP Development's application for the rezoning of the Barrie Central lands.

“This is a major step forward, in that the zoning bylaw, the planning approval for those three highrise buildings, and the YMCA have been approved tonight by Barrie Council,” said Mayor Jeff Lehman after following the April 28th council meeting.

This is a major milestone in the journey towards opening our new Y in Barrie's downtown.

On behalf of everyone who will benefit for a strong and vibrant Barrie YMCA, we applaud Barrie's City Council for moving forward with this critical work even during these uncertain times.
